Project Info

Name: Klarman Hall Humanities Building

Client: Cornell University

Location: Ithaca, New York

Project Summary

Welliver was selected as construction manager for Cornell University's Klarman Hall project, which will bring a new humanities building to the campus for the first time in over 100 years. The building will connect with the adjacent Goldwin Smith Hall and will offer 33,250 square feet of usable space, including offices, work spaces, and classrooms for the College of Arts and Sciences, which has more than 200 humanities faculty. Other facilities include a 350-seat auditorium, 7,700-square foot enclosed glass atrium, a large café, and other informal gathering spaces. To meet the University's environmentally sustainable building goals, Klarman Hall is being built to achieve LEED Platinum certification. Construction is currently underway and on schedule for completion by year-end 2015.
