Project Summary

Cornell's Teaching Dairy Barn is a state-of-the-art facility, featuring a main dairy barn, special needs barn, milking parlor, classroom/observation room, and material and equipment storage building, serves the instructional livestock needs of Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine and College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The first facility to be constructed as part of the Large Animal Teaching Complex (LATC), the complex can house up to 150 milking cows, 30 dry cows, and an additional 30 calves. Welliver managed the construction, which included site preparation and work, demolition of old facilities, an extensive storm water protection plan, working with subcontractors to maintain the schedule, and continual cost control and budget analysis to meet the client’s budget.
