Leveraging nearly 15 years of previous experience as a field engineer, surveyor, and assistant project manager, Steve joined Welliver in 1987. Operating out of a three-room office, his earlier clients included Glenora Winery, Corning Inc., and Cornell University. Steve’s role at Welliver was soon taking shape and his vision for growing the company became clear.

Today, Steve oversees multi-million dollar projects and project teams with a concentration on developing relationships with owners and subcontractors, conflict resolution, and staffing to ensure overall project success. With a focus on efficient field operations and cost control, Steve holds every member of his staff accountable for their projects and believes that honest, hard work is the key to successful projects and relationships. He has developed a strong portfolio with many long-term clients and takes on the most complex and challenging projects regardless of market sector. His clients represent a diverse range of industries including industrial manufacturing, warehouse and distribution, healthcare, and research laboratories.

Business is ever changing. The rush for Steve comes from knowing nothing is routine on a day-to-day basis. Throughout his tenure at Welliver, he has adapted well to industry changes and increased client requirements. Steve has stayed ahead of the technology curve, fast track delivery systems, and cutting edge training. He collaborates with project teams to ensure they have what they need to do the job right, champions quality work and safe job site environments, and helps to discover new construction opportunities that will have a positive and lasting impact on our communities.
