Richard’s path into the construction industry was influenced by his father who is a residential contractor. He chose to study architecture for his interest in the design process. Doubling up on classes allowed him to pursue a construction management degree. This new degree led Richard to his first internship with Welliver, and after graduation, he started his career here as Assistant Project Manager.
“I play a small role in a larger process of bringing construction projects to life that positively impact communities. Whether it’s working on schools, hospitals, or new construction, these projects improve quality of life, stimulate economic growth, and create job opportunities. By ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety; the client, community, and Welliver are happier.”
Richard’s approach is to value clients by improving project efficiency, reducing costs, and improving collaboration among project teams. By updating and adopting more streamlined processes, projects are delivered more efficiently to exceed client expectations. These changes have brought value to clients by improving project efficiency, reducing costs, and improving collaboration among project teams.
“What excites me most about this field is the opportunity to see the results of the team’s efforts. Knowing that I’m contributing to the creation of projects that will serve communities for years to come is rewarding. Each day, there are new challenges and opportunities to learn, which keeps me motivated.”
