The five-year project addressed several Building Condition Survey issues to significantly improve four (4) aging buildings. Work included renovations and new interior finishes for art, music, science and technology classrooms; renovations to the middle/senior high school natatorium, cafeteria, auditorium, and gymnasium; boiler and roof replacements; site work; and district-wide security and technology improvements. Our team replaced roofs and renovated/repaired the district’s buildings, improved safety and security for students and staff, ensured up-to-date instructional areas, addressed handicapped accessibility, and improved energy conservation.
Welliver provided pre-referendum support to the district in addition to serving as its construction management agent. Because of our efficient management during the competitive bidding process throughout the project, there were leftover monies after the capital project’s completion. As a result, the district was able to extend the budget and include the renovation to Memorial Stadium. The project included new stadium lighting, perimeter fencing, concessions, press box, scoreboard, restrooms, ticket booths, seating, handrails, a new turf field installation, and new parking areas.
