Welliver Construction Co. founded by Wilmot H. Welliver.
Contracted for first non-residential project – a new schoolhouse built in Lowman, New York.
1907
Welliver moves to Elmira, New York – the Queen City of the Southern Tier.
1932
Wilmot’s son, William, marks the second generation of leadership.
1947
William’s son, Arthur, adds the third generation of leadership.
1953
William’s younger son, Richard, joins the firm.
1972
Welliver responds to major flooding in Elmira, New York and helps to rebuild the community.
1977
Scott Welliver becomes the fourth generation to join the company.
1996
Welliver acquires McGuire & Bennett Inc. of Ithaca, New York.
The organization incorporates as Welliver McGuire Inc.
1998
Welliver McGuire Inc. celebrates 100th anniversary of delivering construction services.
2005
Welliver renovates and relocates to its current corporate headquarters in Montour Falls, New York.
2015
Scott’s children, Anne and Steve, now make up the company’s fifth generation and lead alongside their father and fellow co-owners Stephen Campbell and JD Young.
